Janet Matsuda is a computer scientist turned marketer with a track record of helping to build category leading companies and driving revenue growth. Prior to Blue Coat, Janet held leadership roles in marketing and general management at AMD, Mercury Interactive, Silicon Graphics, Hewlett Packard, and MIPS Computer Systems.
While at Silicon Graphics her team built an ecosystem and evangelized the digital prototyping category. This new approach transformed the design review process for automotive and aerospace companies and cascaded through the rest of the manufacturing industry. She was a member of the Mercury Interactive team that established and grew the Business Technology Optimization Category.
As the leader of AMD’s Professional Graphics business, Janet structured an operating model for investment and resource alignment outside AMD’s functional structure, yielding >50% revenue growth in that highly profitable segment. As VP of Marketing for Egnyte, a cloud file sharing startup, Janet repositioned the company and increased consideration and preference five-fold in less than a year, supporting a 250% increase in revenue.
Janet holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
