Blue Coat’s John Carosella to Speak at Family Online Safety Institute Annual Conference

SUNNYVALE, Calif., November 26, 2007 -Blue Coat Systems (Nasdaq: BCSI), a leader in WAN Application Delivery and Secure Web Gateway, today announced John Carosella, vice president of content control, will participate in a discussion roundtable titled "What methods and messages do we need to effectively reach parents, teachers and children?" at the Family Online Safety Institute (FOSI) Annual Conference in Washington, DC. The conference will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center on Thursday, December 6, 2007.

The discussion roundtable, will be moderated by Tim Lordan, executive director of the Internet Education Foundation, and panelists will include Marsali Hancock, president, Internet Keep Safe Coalition; Marian Merritt, Internet safety advocate, Symantec; and Rudi Vansnick, president/CEO, Internet Society Belgium and Treasurer ISOC-ECC, Barcelona Spain.

The Family Online Safety Institute and the Annual Conference and Exhibition is a place for the national and international Internet industry to identify and promote best practices, tools and methods of online safety. This annual gathering will bring together the very best thinkers, the most innovative technologies, the most effective educators and the most enlightened legislators from around the world. The purpose is to raise awareness of the extraordinary challenges facing parents, teachers, industry leaders, legislators and the kids themselves in the new digital world, while highlighting a range of evolving solutions to protect children from Internet dangers.
