Code Green Networks Joins Blue Coat Technology Integration Partners Program for Data Loss Prevention Interoperability
Code Green Content Inspection Appliances Interoperate with ProxySG Appliances for DLP Even Inside SSL-Encrypted Sessions
SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 28, 2008 - Blue Coat Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCSI), the leader in WAN Application Delivery and Secure Web Gateway, today announced that Code Green Networks, a leading provider of data loss prevention (DLP) solutions, has joined its Technology Integration Partners Program. The two companies have been working together to facilitate interoperability between Blue Coat® ProxySG® appliances and Code Green Content Inspection Appliances to stop the loss or theft of confidential or proprietary information, even when resulting from use of SSL-encrypted sessions.
A complete DLP solution must be able to examine all forms of Web communication between internal employees and external sources, even those with SSL encryption. In addition it should have the ability to control or block multiple types of Web communications to remove backdoors for information transfer.

Blue Coat ProxySG appliances share information and access to SSL-encrypted sessions with Code Green Content Inspection Appliances using an enterprise-class implementation of the Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP). ProxySG now supports five major DLP solutions from industry-leading vendors.
In addition to providing access to SSL-encrypted traffic, Blue Coat solutions provide a layered approach for inbound and outbound Internet gateway protection from spyware, malware, mobile malicious code, viruses, trojans, botnets, phishing and Web 2.0 threats. Blue Coat products also enable enterprises and organizations to manage Web applications and content, enforce acceptable usage policies and comply with laws and regulations. At the same time, rather than slow down Internet gateway or WAN traffic, ProxySG appliances can accelerate acceptable content and applications. In addition, ProxySG appliances can reduce the amount of bandwidth consumed at the Internet gateway or across the WAN, significantly reducing costs.
